MEDIA RELEASE

2017 AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE FINALISTS ANNOUNCED

Apprentice Employment Network WA Inc (AENWA) has announced the finalists of the 2017 Awards of Excellence recognising top apprentices and trainees who are employed by a group training organisation (GTO) in Western Australia. It also recognises the important part that host employers play in supporting the training an apprentice or trainee receives during their studies.

Chairman, Stuart Diepeveen said “Group Training is unique by the fact that the apprentice or trainee is employed by the Group Training Organisation who organises a range of services including training, induction and mentoring with on-the job training and support provided by host employers.

“The 2017 Awards of Excellence event is a celebration of the top young men and women who have committed themselves to achieving excellence in their chosen career.

“The independent panel of judges looked at education and work performance, personal skills and more importantly how individuals were applying this knowledge into real workplace situations.

“Regardless of which finalist wins each of the categories, they are all great ambassadors for group training and should be proud of their achievements thus far.

The event will be an exciting networking opportunity for apprentices, trainees, group training organisations, host employers and industry.

Ms Samantha Rowe MLC, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education Training, will represent the Hon Sue Ellery MLC, Minister for Education and Training, at the event to hand out the winning prizes.

We are very proud to announce that AustralianSuper is the main event sponsor while AMA Apprenticeship and Traineeship Services together with Woodside Energy Ltd are award sponsors for the evening. AustralianSuper has been a long time supporter of the Awards showing their commitment to the workforce of the future.

Tickets are now available for purchase at $65 per head http://aenwa.com.au/media-release/2017-awards-of-excellence-ticket-purchase-form-7th-august/
