What our GTO Member Do — Empowering Businesses, Supporting Futures
AEN WA’s members, collectively known as Group Training Organisations (GTOs), play a critical role in developing Australia’s future workforce.
They directly employ apprentices and trainees and place them with host businesses, managing the entire employment lifecycle from recruitment and induction through to training coordination, wage support, and access to government incentives. They also provide mentoring and pastoral care to apprentices and trainees to ensure they feel supported, guided and capable—while businesses benefit from motivated, job‑ready talent without the administrative burden.
This arrangement allows businesses to access skilled and motivated workers without the complexities of managing employment and training themselves.
Results Driven
Our members operate to nationally recognised Group Training Standards and are fully registered to operate in Western Australia, ensuring consistent, high‑quality and accountable delivery across the vocational education and training sector.
More importantly, the outcomes are proven— research from the National Centre for Vocational Education shows that apprentices and trainees employed through GTOs achieve significantly higher completion rates than those employed directly by small and medium‑sized businesses.
This is a win‑win: businesses gain reliable, job‑ready talent with reduced administrative burden, and apprentices and trainees receive structured support that sets them up for long‑term success.
