Group Training is a training and employment arrangement where an organisation, known as a Group Training Organisation or GTO, employs apprentices and trainees under an Apprenticeship / Traineeship training contract and places them with host employers. A GTO assumes the employer responsibilities for the quality and continuity of the apprentices’ and trainees’ employment and training.
Our members can coordinate all the processes involved in employing apprentices and trainees including: recruiting candidates; identifying employers; organising training plans with Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s); and will work with all stakeholders on your behalf like Australian Apprenticeship Service Network members and the Department of Training and Workforce Development, to provide employers and candidates with the best outcomes.
AEN WA members are dedicated employer organisations committed to providing quality solutions for the skills development of the apprentice and trainee, by providing ongoing training, support and pastoral care throughout their employment, to achieve the successful completion of the training contract.
A distinctive feature of using our members services, is that they provide a safety net for host employers who may be uncertain about their workflow or feel they do not have the experience or resources to commit to an apprentice or trainee for the entire duration of the training contract.
A report by the National Centre for Vocational Education and Research, found that GTOs achieve ‘substantially higher’ completion rates for apprentices and trainees than direct employers in small and medium sized businesses. So go ahead and connect with one of our members.
