The Apprentice Employment Network WA represents 21 Group Training Organisations operating in Western Australia.
Group Training is a training and employment arrangement where an organisation, known as a Group Training Organisation (GTO), employs apprentices and trainees under an Apprenticeship / Traineeship Training Contract and places them with host employers.
AEN WA members are dedicated employer organisations committed to providing quality solutions for the skills development of the apprentice and trainee, by providing ongoing training, support and pastoral care throughout their employment, to achieve the successful completion of the training contract.
A report by the National Centre for Vocational Education and Research, found that GTOs achieve ‘substantially higher’ completion rates for apprentices and trainees than direct employers in small and medium sized businesses.
